Rise Network is looking for 2x enthusiastic and motivated Lead Gardeners to join the gardening team on a full-time basis.
About the Role
Under the direction of the Property Manager, the Lead Gardener is responsible for supervising the Assistant Gardener on shift. Together this team is expected to undertake garden maintenance on a variety of commercial and private properties. Duties will include lawn mowing, gutter cleaning and shrub pruning and others as required. The Lead Gardener also monitors the condition of gardening equipment, informing other team members of issues to ensure repairs and routine maintenance.

The Lead Gardener is also responsible for providing reporting to various stakeholders including the Property Manager, and resolving issues as per the Rise complaints process. This role contributes to best practice and continuous improvement of the workplace by ensuring all work is undertaken in accordance with requirements and that all work areas are left in a safe condition.

About You
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys gardening and working outside. To be considered for these positions, you will have knowledge and understanding of garden maintenance and WHS issues. You will have an excellent work ethic, with prior leadership experience and the proven capability to lead and motivate people. As a team player, you will demonstrate well-developed communication and interpersonal skills. Furthermore, you will take pride in your work, be able to work unsupervised and effectively manage your time and workload.

Most importantly, you will be the embodiment of the Rise values, with superior attention to detail, initiative and a problem solving approach to the job.

You will also demonstrate
• Experience in the use of a variety of garden maintenance equipment
• The ability to manage people effectively
• Well-developed organisational skills

Industry qualifications are desirable but not essential.
Appointments to this position will be subject to a satisfactory National Police Clearance as well as a current C class driver’s licence.
